labels are everywhere. we decided to make them yours.
It started the way a lot of good ideas do: a conversation between a mom and her daughter that turned into something bigger.
We were talking about labels. Not the kind on clothes—the kind people give you before they've really bothered to know you. The jock. The nerd. The quiet one. The one who's too much or somehow not enough.
We started joking about it. What if you could just choose your own label before anyone else got the chance? What if being labeled. wasn't something that happened to you, but something you got to decide for yourself?
That conversation turned into an idea. The idea turned into a name. And labeled. was born—not in a boardroom, but between a mom who wanted her daughter to know she gets to define herself and a daughter who sparked an idea neither of us expected.
What we believe
Everybody gets labeled. At school. At work. On social media. Sometimes even by the people who know us best. But someone else's label doesn't have to be the one you keep.
That's the idea behind labeled.
Maybe it's a word someone once used about you and you've decided to own it. Maybe it's exactly who you are. Maybe it's who you're becoming. Or maybe it's sarcastic, ridiculous, a little tongue-in-cheek, or a joke only you and your friends understand.
It doesn't have to mean the same thing to everyone else.
It just has to be yours.
Choose one of ours or create your own.
Because people will always have opinions about who you are.
You get to decide what sticks.
your words. your way.
make it you.
